I want to create an IoT based solution for the given SGP project Idea "Mauritius: improving Livelihoods of Communities- Oyster Farming for Jewelry Making in Rodrigues" which will collect all the problem statement mentioned data and share the data as well as specific high swell, theft warning through the azure cloud platform.

Project Proposal


1. High-level project introduction and performance expectation

Mauritius-based local community group works on a small-scale oyster farm in the coastal waters of Rodrigues island. They need a technology-based solution to remotely monitor the farm environment making a cost-effective solution. I am planning to create a solution using Cyclone V FPGA-based DE-10 Nano Development Kit. I am planning to include everything in a robotic fish-like compact structure which will go to the specific area and do the scheduled task.

3. Expected sustainability results, projected resource savings

We will interface Analog device provided EVAL-CN0398-ARDZ  Module to capture pH, salinity (EC), and Temperature and D8M-GPIO daughter card to capture the underwater scene to get theft warning information. we are also planning to interface with some other sensors to properly get the high swell warnings. Microsoft Azure platform will be used for cloud-based data-information sharing. We are planning to include everything in a robotic fish-like compact structure which will go to the specific area and do the scheduled task.
