Project Proposal

1. High-level project introduction and performance expectation

while the number of people throughout the globe are experiencing food insecurity, still tonnes of food is getting wasted from so many universities and colleges due to the quality and tang of food provided over there by the mess contractors who are always busy saving their money.

authorities will address this issue only once or twice in year by visiting the mess, then the contractors serve good food for two or three days and again the same thing continues.  

to address this problem, we are making the trash barrel [where the students throw the food that they are unable to cope up with] smarter by linking it with FPGA,azure cloud and weight/force sensor, so that it collects how much amount of food is getting wasted daily from each mess and gives the alert to college authorities about quantity of food being wasted daily.
