Sustaining Skilled Labor

My proposal is for a technology suite that uses hardware-accelerated computing features to maximize energy efficiency for industrial use cases. Object detection and classification techniques can be used to evaluate video of occupational tasks in a way like never before.

My technology suite will include a master unit with the FPGA that will capture video and other sensor input from skilled labor tasks. The goal is to identify ideal posture and workflow which can be used to train employees and monitor performance. I would like to have AR safety glasses that could help optimize dexterity and reduce fatigue.

Seamless integration and reasonable power consumption are important to create a system that is successful in the workplace. New technology will allow the entire system to be optimized. The flexibility of the FPGA means that the device could rearrange itself depending on the scope of the workspace (room, table, personal area, etc) for maximum efficiency.

Currently I have an NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry PI, and another SOC here that was used for Android IoT. I think technology can help document skills that are no longer taught and also make workers more efficient with less fatigue. I have worked on this concept before and think it can be successful.
